WHS Chorus

• WHS Chorus (Choir 1) is the ensemble that is open to all singers. There's no audition!

• It's a class during the school day. Just sign up for Choir 1 when choosing classes ... same as you would for English or history or biology. 

• Students perform in concerts and participate in trips & festivals.

• If you can't fit choir into your class schedule ... try again!  :-) If you still can't, click here. 

During the school day ... Concert Choir

• Participation in Concert Choir (Choir 2) is by audition or recommendation. 

• Concert Choir is the next level group, but rehearsal is still during the school day.  It's listed as "Choir 2" for scheduling purposes. 

• Students in Concert Choir (Choir 2) sing all of the Chorus (Choir 1) music, plus a few additional pieces in the spring concert program. 

• Complete your audition, and, if approved, sign up for Choir 2 when choosing classes.  

• Important: Choose Choir 1 as your alternate so that you have a better chance of getting at least one of the choir periods.

Outside of the school day ... Chamber Choir

• Chamber Choir is the top choir at Woodstown High School. 

• Singers in the group serve as musical ambassadors in the community. 

• Chamber Choir sings exclusively a cappella (unaccompanied) music. 

• Rehearsals are Monday evenings, usually from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. 

• Additional sectional rehearsals and choir retreats are scheduled througout the year.
